Should I make a career change?

I love the flexibility of working for myself. I love supporting my clients to make a career change. I love to research and write. I enjoy leading Pre-retirement seminars, and its interesting to go to London for my consultancy assignments.
It looks like my consultancy work is going to end so Ive got space to take on something new. I could easily contact other consultancy firms, and work on assessment centres, but is that what I really want to do. It will feel like a backwards step to what I was doing 20 years ago.
