PSYCHOLOGY OF WEIGHT LOSS. Losing weight is partly down to exercise and healthy eating but also down to what goes on in our heads, our inner monologue. As a morbidly obese psychologist I knew this but it took commitment to my goal of becoming fit and healthy before I applied what I knew to my own life and approach. This resulted in a drop in weight of 148 pounds, taking me down from 315 pounds to 167.

Ive been away for a week, I spent time in Malta with my husband, Simon, and my mum, Valerie. My mum is 84, and cant walk long distances so we had to arrange for assistance at the airport and a disabled room.

Thisis where you leave your company, at retirement age and stop working and move to a life of leisure. It’s a traditional view, but is it right for people today who may live for a further 20-30 years. A couple of years on from retirement people often find themselves bored and want to do different things – maybe a return to work or develop more interests. I talk about this in this video.
